The Lake Triathlon Series returns 10 June! After a huge May debut, there’s still time to race for the Series Championship. Sprint distance for all levels.

Set within the stunning, spring-fed waters of Cromhall Quarry, The Lake Triathlon Series offers five thrilling sprint-distance races throughout the 2026 summer season. Managed by the expert team at South West Maritime Academy, the series prioritises safety, professional execution, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
The series kicked off in May with a spectacular debut, setting a high bar for competition. While the points leaderboard has started to take shape, it is by no means settled. The series operates on a cumulative points system where consistency is rewarded; therefore, athletes joining the fold for Race 2 on 10th June still have ample opportunity to climb the rankings and challenge for the Overall Series Champion title.
Race Format & Course
Participants tackle a true sprint-distance challenge:
Swim (750m): A crystal-clear lake swim in one of the UK’s cleanest water sites, supported by professional water safety teams.
Bike (18km): A fast road course through the picturesque local roads around Tortworth and Cromhall.
Run (5km): A final road leg that brings athletes back for a dramatic finish inside the quarry.
Event Schedule (Monthly Midweek Format)
Registration opens at the lakeside marquee from 5:30 PM, with the race briefing at 6:40 PM. To ensure a smooth flow, the men’s wave starts at 6:50 PM, followed by the women’s wave at 6:55 PM.
